The expected battle between Jan Kopecký / Jan Hlousek (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) and Andreas Mikkelsen / Jonas Andresson (Skoda Fabia Rally2) started from the first speed stage.

The summer in the center of Europe is over and racers and fans will watch the rally in cold and rain.

The Czech Barum Zlin Rally will take place on August 27th and 28th.

The start of Day 2 of the Ypres 2021 Rally was not good for Ott Tanak, who burst a tire and after a jack injury failed to change it and lost 3 minutes in the longest speed stage of the rally.

SS 10 Dikkebus 1 (12.49 km) was stopped due to the fall of an electrical pole which was blocking the road.

As we wrote in the previous article, stopping for the chicanes creates dirt.

Local hero Thierry Neuville had an advantage in the shakedown today and deservedly recorded the best time, namely 4: 22.50, ahead of Ott Tanak with 0.8 seconds and Sebastien Ogier with 2.1 seconds.

Rally Ypres Belgium part of the World Rally Championship will be held this weekend from 13th to 15th August.
