The start of Day 2 of the Ypres 2021 Rally was not good for Ott Tanak, who burst a tire and after a jack injury failed to change it and lost 3 minutes in the longest speed stage of the rally.
A lot of gravel on the corners and dirt is the stopping sectors and the chicanes continue to keep the pilots under pressure.
With very small differences throughout the day at the Ypres Rally, the top two in the standings moved, but Neuville managed to lead the overall standings after each stage.
Evans, Rovanpera and Ogier fought a contested battle for third place, with differences of up to 10 seconds.
After the incident of Takamoto Katsuta / Keaton Williams, in general, despite the small differences, there were no changes in the ranking.
After the last stage for the second day of Rally Ypres, Thierry Neuville / M. Wydaeghe leads with a time of 2:06:18.8.
Craig Breen / Paul Nagle are second in 10.1 seconds. Both crews are in Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC cars.
Elfyn Evans / Scott Martin with Toyota Yaris WRC are third in 42.4 seconds. Also with the Toyota Yaris WRC are the fourth K. Rovanpera / Johnee Halttunen and Sebastien Ogier / J. Ingrassia on 49.4.
After the problems with the flat tire, Ott Tanak is sixth, but at 3:55.2.
In the Rally 2 category, S. Bedoret / F. Gillbert leads with a Skoda Fabia Rally 2.
Only 4 stages remain for Sunday in Rally Ypres 2021.
