Nio said it plans to open the first 4 second-generation battery replacement stations in Norway this year. Shanghai-based Nio began shipping EVs to Norway in July and is aiming to establish a presence across Europe.

Nio noted last month that there are plans to build 20 such stations in Norway by the end of 2022. The automaker launched the ES8 electric sports utility vehicle and opened a No House store in Oslo. The EV manufacturer has also introduced battery as a service, starting with the 100 kWh battery option.
